File Timestamp Modification
Many people are unaware of the fact that every file kept on their hard drive features a timestamp. This timestamp stores the date and time the file was created. Not only that, but it also stores the date and time the file was last accessed and last modified. So, if you read a text file last year or ran a program yesterday, that information is saved to the timestamp of the files.
It is extremely easy to view timestamp information. Simply right-click on a file and select "Properties." Various third-party software also exists which allows a user to view file timestamps.
The operating system does not allow you to change the timestamp of files -- you can only view them. Filemod gives you this ability. As a bonus, you can also view, save and change the icon(s) of the file at the same time.
